Postpartum Doula Support

The Abusua Pa

The “Abusua pa” is an adinkra symbol meaning good family. To the Akan people of Ghana it represents the strong bond shared by family members. As a postpartum doula I seek to unify and prepare your support village for the postpartum period.

HONOR | NURTURE | CELEBRATE | RESTORE

The first 6 weeks following birth can be an amazing, frustrating, happy, sad, joyous and intense time. Rather it’s your first or fifteenth child your identity has forever shifted. Let’s take a moment to re-imagine the postpartum period as an opportunity for your village to pour into you, allowing you time to rest, reflect and nurture yourself and baby. Beautiful right? Well, it is possible and for many outside of Western culture this is the norm.

Wearing the hats of postpartum Doula, favorite auntie, and confidante, I use my experience and expertise to make this your norm by nourishing, honoring and celebrating you!
